2024 Cummins X15 Productivity Series (2024) X15 605V
The Power to Deliver. You get the best of both worlds with horsepower and torque curves optimized for the most challenging applications. Whether you’re transporting raw materials in quad-axle dump trucks, moving 130,000 lbs down the interstate, or fall into a multi-purpose category, you’ll get access to whatever blend of power or efficiency you desire with the EPA 2024 X15 Productivity Series.
Easily recognized by the “V” designation on the ratings chart, Productivity Series ratings have a higher output capacity (up to 605 hp with 2050 lb-ft of peak torque) than any other engine in the 15-liter category. More important, the component set delivers superior responsiveness to throttle input – engineering-speak for plenty of muscle to get you rolling up to speed with a full load on hilly terrain.
The Best of Both Worlds.2024 X15 Productivity Series ratings from 430-500 hp share a hardware set with the Cummins X15 Efficiency Series ratings. The higher output ratings from 565-605 hp use higher-capacity components from the X15 Performance Series ratings. This dual engineering strategy ensures that the X15 Productivity Series has the output required to meet power demands while optimizing fuel economy and operating costs. The rpm levels are set to match the job requirements of specific applications. Cummins continues to offer both Rear Engine Power Takeoff (REPTO) and Front Engine Power Takeoff (FEPTO) on X15 Productivity Series engines.
Features may include:
VGT Turbocharger- Featuring a patented sliding nozzle ring, the VGT Turbocharger used on Cummins X15 engines offers higher boost pressures at low engine speeds. In 2021, the 7th generation VGT provides 5% higher turbocharger efficiency through new wheel options and a multi-clearance shroud design.
- High pressure enables multiple injection events per cycle for industry-leading fuel economy and quieter operation. With a standard thermal recirculation valve, the X15 is prepared to handle even the most challenging weather conditions
- Compact and lightweight, the Single Module Aftertreatment provides better heat management and retention –delivering improved fuel economy compared to previous aftertreatment systems. With a bigger ash capacity and an optimized flow through design, customers will see a significant improvement on DPF-related maintenance in heavy-duty applications compared to previous systems.
- LF14001NN lube and FF5971NN fuel filters from Fleetguard allow for up to 100,000 mile maintenance intervals*, and leverage the patented technology of NanoNet® media to optimized performance in real-world conditions, putting less strain on the engine. Trapping 99.2% percent of all harmful fuel particles as small as 4 microns, the engine and injectors are offered the best protection from any contamination.
- The 2450 ECM for the 2021 X15 lineup provides improved connectivity and powertrain capabilities. With fully integrated aftertreatment and engine system controls, the electronic control module optimizes performance.
